Welcome to 8temporary – Shaping a New World for Deaf Esport

At 8temporary, we believe in breaking boundaries and creating new opportunities for all players – especially those from the deaf community. Our mission is rooted in the dreams, challenges, and unshakable passion of five remarkable individuals who overcame obstacles many thought insurmountable. Instead of giving up, they came together to pave the way for a new era in competitive gaming – inclusive, empowering, and deaf-centered.

Janos-Calvin Giuranna

Once ranked among the top 1,000 Fortnite players in Europe, Janos impressed not only with his skill but also with his determination as one of the best deaf players. Inspired to compete after his brother Jason and friend Dylan narrowly missed the finals of the Winter Cup, Janos joined them as a trio. Together, they scored over 18,000 points in Division 10 and participated in numerous high-level tournaments.

Dario Drexler

Dario shined in several games, but CS:GO was his true home. Playing for the Danish organization Globen E-Sport, he reached Global Elite and Faceit Level 8. Despite these achievements, the CS:GO division was shut down due to rising audism. Undeterred, Dario, who also ranked among the top 500 in The Finals and Fragpunk, made it his mission to ensure deaf players are treated with respect and given equal opportunities.

Maximilian Bystrov

Maximilian began with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and later competed in the Cold War era. His team was on the verge of qualifying for the CDL but lost a decisive match. When he asked the winning team why they didn’t advance, they told him, “A deaf team has no chance in the CDL – the game relies on audio.” That moment sparked his resolve to fight for inclusion – regardless of hearing ability.

Tobias Gravogl

Tobias reached Global Elite and Faceit Level 9. A pro contract was on the table. But once it was revealed that Tobias was deaf, the organization withdrew the offer. Though his teammates wanted to stand by him, they were given an ultimatum. Tobias stepped down so they could continue. Today, he works to create a better path for future players.

Our Mission – A New Era for Deaf Esports

These five pioneers share more than just talent – they share a vision. One born from an industry that wasn’t originally built for them. 8temporary was founded to give deaf players a real platform. Even though the Deaflympics exist, true inclusion in esports is still lacking. 8rary aims to change that – with a global, deaf-centered ecosystem where players can compete, connect, and live their dreams.

This is our vision. Thank you for being part of it.
